HOW MINNESOTA WILD CAN WIN THEIR FIRST STANLEY CUP

The Minnesota Wild have never won a Stanley Cup in their franchise history, so my mission is to transform them into a cup-winning team. To do that, they will have to make some improvements to the roster. This is how I would turn the Minnesota Wild into a Cup-winning team.

At the Expansion draft, the Minnesota Wild trade Zach Parise, 2021 1st rd pick to the Seattle Kraken for Logan Brown, 2021 3rd rd pick.

The Wild dump Zach Parise's on Seattle by including a 1st round pick in the trade.

Minnesota Wild lose Victor Rask to the Seattle Kraken in the Expansion Draft.

Before the 2021 draft, two trades are made:

The Wild trade Ryan Suter, Nick Bjugstad to the Boston Bruins for Jeremy Lauzon, Connor Clifton, Jake DeBrusk, Jack Studnicka, 2022 1st round pick. The Wild retain 25% of Ryan Suter's annual cap hit until the 2024 season.

The Boston Bruins fill a much-needed hole on the left side of their defense with the addition of Ryan Suter, while the Wild get two solid young defensemen, Jake DeBrusk, Jack Studnicka, and a 1st round pick.

Minnesota Wild also trade Nick Bonino, Marcus Johansson, Ryan Hartman to the Columbus Blue Jackets for Alexandre Texier, Emil Benstrom, 2021 3rd rd pick.

The Wild get two good players in Alexandre Texier, Emil Benstrom in exchange for Nick Bonino, Marcus Johansson, and Ryan Hartman.

At the 2021 draft, Minnesota Wild trade picks 63, 89, 91 to the New York Islanders for picks 117, 2022 2nd rd pick.

2021 Draft

25-Fyodor Svechkov

57-Jack Bar

70-Samu Salminen

Minnesota Wild draft Fyodor Svechkov and Samu Salminen, two talented forwards, and Jack Bar, a solid offensive defenseman.

Minnesota Wild re-sign a few players:

Kirill Kaprizov-8yrs/7.5M per

Kevin Fiala-6yrs/5.5M per

Joel Eriksson Ek-5yrs/3.25M per

Alexandre Texier-3yrs/2M per

Logan Brown-2yrs/1M per

All other RFAs are re-signed by the Minnesota Wild

Minnesota Wild make two key free-agent signings:

Blake Coleman-3yrs/3.75M per

Jason Demers-2yrs/3.5M per

Without Zach Parise and Ryan Suter, the Minnesota Wild finish miss the playoffs in the 2021-22 season and finishes with the 14th pick in the draft.

Before the 2022 draft, two major trades are made:

Minnesota Wild trade Matt Dumba, Marcus Foligno to the Florida Panthers for Owen Tippett, Grigori Denisenko, 2022 1st round pick.

The addition of Matt Dumba makes the Florida Panthers a legit contender to win the Stanley Cup; on the other hand, the Wild get two talented prospects in Tippett and Denisenko, as well as a 1st round pick.

The Wild also trade Jake DeBrusk and Nico Sturm to the Nashville Predators for Tanner Jeannot, 2023 3rd rd pick.

The Wild add some grit with the addition of Tanner Jeannot, while the Predators add a 3rd line scorer in Jake DeBrusk.

2022 Draft

14-Seamus Casey

27-Marco Kasper

46-Simon Forsmark

51-Danny Zhilkin

The Minnesota Wild draft two great defensive prospects in Seamus Casey and Simon Forsmark, as well as two talented forwards in Marco Kasper and Danny Zhilkin.

Minnesota Wild re-sign a few players:

Kappo Kahkonen-3yrs/3.5M per

Jordan Greenway-3yrs/2.8M per

Jeremy Lauzon-3yrs/2.75M per

Owen Tippett-2yrs/1.7M per

Emil Benstrom-2yrs/1.4M per

Jack Studnicka-3yrs/1.2M per

All other RFAs are re-signed by the Minnesota Wild

The Minnesota Wild make the playoffs in the 2022-23 season, but end up losing in the second round of the playoffs.

Before the 2023 draft, two trades are made:

Minnesota Wild trade Jared Spurgeon to the Toronto Maple Leafs for William Nylander.

This is a one-for-one trade that addresses needs for both teams.

The Wild also trade Jonas Brodin, Alexandre Texier to the Detroit Red Wings for Dennis Cholowski, 2023 2nd round pick, 2024 2nd round pick.

The Wild have some younger defenseman that can fill Brodin's spot, so they can afford to trade him to free up some cap room.

At the 2023 draft, the Minnesota Wild trade picks 25, 34 to the Montreal Canadiens for pick 15.

2023 Draft

15-Arttu Karki

Minnesota Wild draft Arttu Karki, a talented defenseman, will be a huge part of their future.

After the season, one trade is made:

Minnesota Wild trade Mats Zuccarello to the San Jose Sharks for Dylan Gambrell, Rudolfs Balcers, 2024 2nd round pick.

The Sharks get Mats Zuccarello, a solid veteran player who is still very productive, while the Wild get to fill out their depth in their lineup.

Minnesota Wild re-sign a few players:

Marco Rossi-5yrs/5.5M per

Alexander Khovanov-4yrs/3.6M per

Calen Addison-4yrs/3.5M per

Grigori Denisenko-3yrs/2.4M per

Connor Clifton-3yrs/2.3M per

Rudolfs Balcers-1yrs/1.5M per

Dylan Gambrell-1yrs/1.3M per

Dennis Cholowski-1yr deal

All other RFAs are re-signed by the Minnesota Wild

Minnesota Wild sign Ben Bishop to a 2 yr deal worth 4 million per season.

Minnesota Wild win the Stanley Cup in the 2023-24 season, beating the Florida Panthers in 6 games.

Minnesota Wild re-sign a few players:

Matthew Boldy-4yrs/4.25M per

Owen Tippett-4yrs/3.5M per

Before the 2024-25 season, one trade is made:

Minnesota Wild trade William Nylander, Dennis Cholowski to the Anaheim Ducks for 2024 1st round pick, 2025 3rd rd pick.

The Wild get a 1st and a 3rd for William Nylander and Dennis Cholowski, two players who just didn't fit well with the team.

By the 2024-25 season, the Minnesota Wild have assembled a dangerous team.

2024-25 Minnesota Wild

K.Kaprizov-A.Khovanov-G.Denisenko

M.Boldy-M.Rossi-K.Fiala

S.Salminen-F.Svechkov-O.Tippett

J.Greenway-J.Eriksson Ek-J.Studnicka

S.Forsmark-S.Casey

A.Karki-C.Addison

J.Lauzon-C.Clifton

K.Kahkonen

B.Bishop

Top Prospects: M.Kasper, J.Bar, D.Zhilkin

The Minnesota Wild have already won a Stanley Cup and are now looking to win back to back.

Fantasy Hockey Forwards to Trade For

Here is a list of Players who you should consider trading for in Fantasy Hockey. Tage Thompson Tage Thompson had very high expectations of him heading into this season but has been a massive disappointment to this point in the season with only 7 goals, 8 assists, 4 PPP, 60 SOG, and 99 FW. Thompson has been better after coming back from injury and you would think that he is going to eventually start putting points in bunches. Because of how bad Thompson's statline is this season. it would be a good idea to trade for him because you may not have to give up a lot in return.  Elias Lindholm Elias Lindholm is another player who has had a slow start to the season with only 7 goals, 10 assists, 3 PPP, 68 SOG, and 297 FW so far this season. Lindholm is definitely going to want to play better if he wants to increase his value for his next contract and also showcase himself for a trade at the deadline. If Lindholm gets dealt to a contending team, his fantasy value would drastically improve b

TIPS FOR DECIDING WHO TO KEEP FOR KEEPER/DYNASTY LEAGUES

Keeper fantasy leagues are a variation of traditional fantasy sports leagues where participants are allowed to keep a certain number of players from their previous season's roster onto their team for the upcoming season. The number of players that can be kept, as well as the specific rules regarding keeping players, vary from league to league and are typically determined by the league commissioner or by a set of agreed-upon rules among league members. In a keeper league, the kept players usually come with a cost, such as forfeiting a specific draft pick in the upcoming draft or having to pay a predetermined fee. This adds a strategic element to the game, as managers must decide which players to keep based on their performance, potential, and value relative to the cost of keeping them. Keeper leagues often provide a deeper level of engagement and strategy compared to standard fantasy leagues because managers need to consider long-term player development and roster management beyond

FANTASY HOCKEY WAIVER WIRE PLAYERS TO PICKUP

Here are some players you should pickup in Fantasy Hockey, sorted by position. Center Colton Sissons Colton Sissons is one of the best 4th line centers in the league, but in fantasy hockey, he could be even more valuable than he actually is in real life because of what he provides in the peripheral categories. So far this season Sissions has 5 goals, 1 PPP, 1 SHP, 12 PIM, 20 SOG, 89 FW, 15 hits, and 9 blocks. This is a terrific stat line and although you can't count on Sissons scoring a ton, he will fill out the FW, Hits, and blocks usually. Sissons is owned in 6% of fantasy leagues, snag him up while you can. Nick Bjugstad Nick Bjugstad is having an excellent year so far with the Arizona Coyotes, in fact he has played so well that he earned himself a promotion to play on the 2nd line along with Mattias Maccelli and Lawson Crouse. Bjugstad also gets time on Arizona's 2nd PP unit and 2nd PK unit. Bjugstad may not be a name who stands out to casuals, but his fantasy stat line is
