There have been rumors floating around for a while now that the Florida Panthers were going to be relocated to somewhere in Canada; if the Florida Panthers were to be relocated, they should be relocated to Quebec, because they still have a passionate hockey fanbase. To prepare the Panthers for their move up north, they need to make the team look better on paper. Before the 2021 draft, the Panthers make two trade: Florida Panthers acquire Vladimir Tarasenko from the St.Louis Blues for Anthony Duclair, Owen Tippett, Henrik Borgstrom, and a 2021 1st round pick. The Panthers get Vladimir Tarasenko, a superstar sniper, while the Blues get Anthony Duclair, a top 6 winger as well as Owen Tippett and Henrik Borgstrom, two top prospects, and a 1st round pick. The Panthers also trade Frank Vatrano, Vinnie Hinostroza, Anton Stralman, 2nd rd pick '21 to the Carolina Hurricanes for Nino Neiderreiter, Brock McGinn. The Panthers get Nino Niederreiter, a solid top 6 forward, and Brock McGinn, a s

The Montreal Canadiens are a borderline playoff team right now, but if they were to add a star player, they would immediately become a legit threat in the North Division. This is what the Montreal Canadiens need to do to become a legit contender. The Montreal Canadiens Make two major trades: Montreal Canadiens trade Phillip Danault, Joel Armia, Victor Mete, and a 2021 2nd round pick to the San Jose Sharks for Tomas Hertl, Marcus Sorensen. The Canadiens get Tomas Hertl, a great second-line center, and Marcus Sorensen, while the Sharks add Phillip Danault, a great two-way center, Joel Armia, and Victor Mete, two good depth players and a 2nd round pick. The Canadiens also trade Paul Byron, Artturi Lehkonen to the Columbus Blue Jackets for Emil Benstrom, Eric Robinson, and a 2021 3rd round pick. The Blue Jackets get Paul Byron and Artturi Lehkonen, two top 9 forwards, while the Canadiens get Emil Benstrom and Eric Robinson, two solid young players, and a 3rd round pick. The Montreal Canad

Even though the Vancouver Canucks should be a contending team this year, they can still improve their team to become a Stanley cup favorite. With that in mind, let's take a look at some of the moves the Vancouver Canucks could make to win a Stanley Cup. The Vancouver Canucks trade Michael Ferland, Brogan Rafferty, Sven Baertschi to the Detroit Red Wings for 3rd rd pick '21, 4th rd pick '21. The main purpose of this trade from Vancouver's perspective is to get rid of Michael Ferland and Sven Baertschi; from Detroit's point of view, this is low-risk trade, where they add some nice players for some draft picks. After creating more than 5 million in cap space, the Vancouver Canucks add some players in Free Agency: Derrick Brassard-1yr/2 million Corey Perry-1yr/1 million Madison Bowey-1yr/800k  The Vancouver Canucks finish the 2020-21 season as the second-best team in All-Canadian Division and the 4th best team in the Western Conference; the Canucks make it to the Weste

How to Improve Winnipeg Jets

The Winnipeg Jets have a solid team, but if they want to make the playoffs in the newly formed All-Canadian Division, they need to improve their roster. The Jets should focus on improving their defense, their offensive depth, and prospect pool. The Winnipeg Jets start by making two huge blockbuster trades: Winnipeg Jets trade Patrik Laine to the Montreal Canadiens for Jonathan Drouin, Philip Danault, Victor Mete, Artturi Lekhonen, 1st round pick 2021.  This trade is beneficial for both sides because the Habs get Patrik Laine, a stud goal scorer, while the Jets get Jonathan Drouin, Philip Danault, two Mete, and Lehkonen, solid role players, and a 1st round pick. Winnipeg also trades Adam Lowry, Nathan Beaulieu, and a 2021 2nd round pick to the Buffalo Sabres for Brandon Montour. This is a good trade for both teams because the Jets get Brandon Montour, a stable two-way defenseman, while the Sabres get Adam Lowry, a valuable role player, Nathan Beaulieu, and a 2nd round pick. At the trade

How to Improve Columbus Blue Jackets

The Columbus Blue Jackets are a borderline playoff team, however, if they make improvements to their team, they could be even better. Making some improvements to the roster should guarantee that Columbus becomes a contending team. Columbus Blue Jackets trade David Savard to the Ottawa Senators for Logan Brown, Vitaly Abramov, a 2nd round pick '21. The Blue Jackets acquire two great young prospects in Brown and Abramov, as well as a 2nd round pick for David Savard. Nick Foligno, Mikhail Grigorenko is traded to the Edmonton Oilers for Adam Larsson, Zack Kassian, 2nd round pick 2022. Columbus gets Adam Larsson, a top 4 defenseman, and Zack Kassian, a top 9 forward for Nick Foligno and Mikhail Grigorenko. Columbus Blue Jackets re-sign Pierre Luc Dubois to an 8 yr deal worth 6 million per season. The Columbus Blue Jackets miss the playoffs in the 2020-21 season; they end up with the 14th pick in the draft. Before the 2021 Draft, Columbus trades Gustav Nyquist, Max Domi to the Victor Ra

What If Florida Panthers Drafted Correctly in the Last 5 Years

The Florida Panthers have showed over the last decade why they are a losing organization but their draft success in last 5 years is especially bad. If the Florida Panthers drafted correctly in the last 5 years, they would have been a contender by now. 2015  11-Matt Barzal over Lawson Crouse 102-Ethan Bear over Denis Malgin 132-Kirill Kaprizov over Karch Bachman Matt Barzal and Kirill Kaprizov will some much needed secondary scoring to the team and Ethan Bear can be a solid top 4 defenseman. 2016 23-Tage Thompson over Henrik Borgstrom 38-Sam Girard over Adam Mascherin Sam Girard is a solid young top 4 defenseman, while Tage Thompson can grew to be a good power forward 2017 10-Robert Thomas over Owen Tippett Robert Thomas is much better then Owen Tippett at this point in their careers. 2018 No Change in draft picks 2019 52-Nic Robertson over Vladislav Kolyachonok The Panthers still draft Spencer Knight but draft Nic Robertson over Vladislav Kolyachonok, which is a major upgrade. 2

What if Dallas Stars trade Tyler Seguin

The Dallas Stars had a really good playoff run last season and made it to the Stanley cup finals without Jamie Benn or Tyler Seguin doing that much. If the Stars want to remain a playoff team, they might have trade one of the two because it is clear that they aren't as effective as a duo anymore. Jamie Benn is the Captain of the Dallas Stars and still has plenty of value even if he isn't scoring; Tyler Seguin on the other hand is purely a goal scorer and doesn't do much anything else, so it would make sense to trade Tyler Seguin. Dallas Stars trade Tyler Seguin to the Carolina Hurricanes for Vincent Trocheck, Martin Necas, Nino Niederreiter, 1st round pick 2021. The Hurricanes get Tyler Seguin, a very good scorer, while the Stars get Vincent Trocheck and Nino Niederreiter, two top 6 forwards along with Martin Necas, a talented young forward and a 1st round pick. Dallas also trades Alex Radulov to the New Jersey Devils for Pavel Zacha, Jesper Boqvist, 2nd rd pick 2021.  The

What if Calgary Flames trade Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan

The Calgary Flames are a borderline playoff team right now but if they don't make any changes to their core they won't be making it far in the playoffs. Two core players that have been brought up the most in trade talks are Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan. Trading Gaudreau and Monahan would allow the Calgary Flames to begin a new chapter and hopefully have more playoffs success in the long run. Calgary Flames trade Johnny Gaudreau to the New Jersey Devils for Nikita Gusev, Michael McLeod, Jesper Bratt, Jesper Boqvist, 1st round pick '22. The New Jersey Devils get Johnny Gaudreau, a dynamic playmaking winger, who will be a tremendous fit on a line with Hischier and Palmieri. Calgary Flames also get a top 6 forward in Nikita Gusev and a top 9 forward in Jesper Bratt, as well as two very good prospects in McLeod and Boqvist. The Flames will also the the Devils first round pick in 2022. Calgary Flames also trade Sean Monahan to the Ottawa Senators for Josh Norris, Drake Bathe

What if Chicago Blackhawks trade Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane

The Chicago Blackhawks seem to be headed towards a full fledge rebuild but if they have Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews on the team, it may affect their chances of getting a top pick in the draft. The best thing Chicago can do is trade Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews so they can play for another Stanley cup and so the Blackhawks can full on tank. Chicago Blackhawks make two major trades involving their core players: Patrick Kane is traded to the Buffalo Sabres for Sam Reinhart, Rasmus Ristolainen, Casey Mittelstadt, 1st round pick 2022. The Buffalo Sabres get Patrick Kane, a superstar that can help bring the franchise to new heights, while the Chicago Blackhawks get Sam Reinhart, a top 6 forward, Rasmus Ristolainen, a top 4 defenseman, a top prospect in Casey Mittelstadt and a 1st round pick. The Blackhawks also trade Jonathan Toews to the New York Islanders for Brock Nelson, Josh Bailey, 1st round pick 2021. The New York Islanders get Jonathan Toews, one of the best leaders in the NH

The Pittsburgh Penguins are far from being a contending team now, in fact they would be better off trading everyone except Crosby and going forward with a full rebuild. Two major trades are made by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2020 offseason: Evgeni Malkin is traded to the San Jose Sharks for Tomas Hertl, Ryan Merkley, Ryan Donato, 1st round pick '21. The Sharks get a superstar center in Evgeni Malkin to help propel the Sharks to new heights, while the Penguins get Tomas Hertl, a very good top 6 forward, Ryan Merkley, the Sharks top prospect, Ryan Donato and a 1st round pick. Kris Letang is traded to the Ottawa Senators for Erik Brannstrom, Josh Norris, Drake Batherson, 1st round pick '21. The Senators get an elite puck moving defenseman in Kris Letang, which makes them a legit contender; the Penguins get 3 very good young players in Brannstrom, Norris and Batherson as well as a 1st round pick. With Malkin and Letang gone, the Pittsburgh Penguins finish the 2020-21 season wi

After losing Taylor Hall in Free Agency, the Arizona Coyotes did little to nothing to fix the team due to the fact they are stuck with many bad contracts, so if the Coyotes want to build a legitimate contender, they must first move some salary and dump off some bad contracts. Arizona Coyotes make a few trades: Arizona Coyotes trade Alex Goligoski to the Carolina Hurricanes for Haydn Fleury, 2nd rd pick '21. The Hurricanes get a veteran two way defenseman in Alex Goligoski, while the Coyotes get a young top 6 defenseman in Haydn Fleury and a 2nd round pick. The Coyotes also trade Derek Stepan to the Ottawa Senators for Chris Tierney, Connor Brown, 2nd rd pick '21.  The Sens get a veteran 2nd line center in Derek Stepan, which will allow their young centers to develop at the right pace. The Coyotes get Chris Tierney, a top 6 center and Connor Brown, a top 9 winger as well as a 2nd round pick. Darcy Kuemper is traded to the Buffalo Sabres for Linus Ullmark, Tage Thompson, 2nd rd

After getting eliminated in the 2nd round of the Playoffs by the New York Islanders, the Philadelphia Flyers might look to retool their team. The two players that get talked about the most in trade talks are Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek;' although it's not likely they get trade, i'm going to explore what would happen if they did decide to trade them. In the 2020 offseason, a few trades are made: Philadelphia Flyers trade Claude Giroux to the Detroit Red Wings for Anthony Mantha, Filip Zadina, 1st round pick 2022. The Detroit Red Wings need a star player to pair with Dylan Larkin and Claude Giroux would certainly fit that criteria; on the other hand, the Flyers would get Anthony Mantha and Filip Zadina, two very good forwards and a 1st round pick. The Flyers also trade Jakub Voracek, Nolan Patrick to the Buffalo Sabres for Victor Olofsson, Tage Thompson, 1st round pick 2021. The Sabres would love to add another highly skilled winger to play in the top 6 along with Taylor

Patrik Laine has been popping up on rumor mills a lot recently and the Winnipeg Jets haven't turned them down, so lets how the Winnipeg Jets would look like if they trade Patrik Laine and how it affects the team down the road. Winnipeg Jets trade Patrik Laine to the Philadelphia Flyers for Travis Konecny, Morgan Frost, Shayne Gostisbehere, 1st round pick 2021. The Flyers get a elite young goal scorer in Patrik Laine, who would look great on a line with Claude Giroux and Sean Couturier; On the flip side, the Jets get a very good top 6 forward in Travis Konecny, solid puck moving defenseman in Shayne Gostisbehere, a prospect in Morgan Frost and a 1st round pick. Winnipeg Jets sign Cole Perfetti, Daniel Torgersson to Entry Level Contracts. All other RFAs are re-signed by the Winnipeg Jets. Winnipeg Jets sign TJ Brodie to a 6 year deal worth 5 million per season, Mattias Janmark to a 3 year deal worth 2.75 million per season. The Jets add a top 4 defenseman in TJ Brodie as well as a b

The Jack Eichel trade rumors have been been constantly popping up, so I will look into what would happen if the Buffalo Sabres did indeed trade Jack Eichel. Trading Jack Eichel is the last resort for the Sabres but it would allow them to totally retool their team. Before the 2020 draft, Buffalo Sabres make a few trades: Buffalo Sabres trade Jack Eichel to the New York Rangers for Mika Zibanejad, Chris Kreider, Vitaly Kravtsov, Libor Hajek, 1st round pick 2020. The New York Rangers add a superstar in Jack Eichel to add to pair with either Panarin or Lafreniere; while the Sabres get Mika Zibanejad, a star center in his own right, Chris Kreider, top 6 winger, two prospects in Kravtsov and Hajek and a 1st round pick. The Sabres also trade Rasmus Ristolainen, Casey Mittelstadt to the Toronto Maple Leafs for Ilya Mikheyev, Timothy Liljegren, 2nd round pick 2020. The Maple Leafs need a top 4 defenseman and Ristolainen fills a need at a relatively low cost, Mittelstadt never quite fit with the

Taylor Hall is going to be one of the top free agents in 2020 and the Montreal Canadiens are one of the teams that are rumored to be after him. The Thing is that Montreal already has Tomas Tatar and Jonathan Drouin at LW, why would they need Taylor Hall? Well to put is simply, the Canadiens lack a star forward and Taylor Hall would provide that star power up front. If the Canadiens do end up signing Taylor Hall, the Canadiens would need to trade either one of those two players to address other needs on the roster. Before the 2020 draft, the Canadiens make a few trades: Montreal Canadiens trade Tomas Tatar, Max Domi to the Nashville Predators for Eeli Tolvanen, 1st round pick 2020. Nashville Needs skilled wingers with Mikael Granlund and Craig Smith leaving in Free Agency, so adding Tatar and Domi will more than fill that void. For Montreal, the get a young forward in Tolvanen and a 1st round pick. Montreal also trades Jeff Petry, Jonathan Drouin, Ryan Poehling, 1st round pick 2021 to

Alex Pietrangelo is one of the top free agents in 2020 and the Toronto Maple Leafs would really love to add a defenseman of his caliber, especially because he would be the perfect defenseman to pair with Morgan Rielly on the 1st pair. However, if the Maple Leafs are to sign Alex Pietrangelo, they need to clear more cap space because the Leafs only have a little over 6 million in cap space this year. Before free agency, a few trades are made: Toronto Maple Leafs trade Andreas Johnsson, Travis Dermott to the Detroit Red Wings for Tiro Hirose, Joe Hicketts, 2nd round pick 2021. The Red Wings get a top 6 forward in Andreas Johnsson and a top 4 defenseman in Travis Dermott, while the Maple Leafs get a top 9 forward in Tiro Hirose, a top 6 defenseman in Joe Hicketts and a 2nd round pick. Maple Leafs also trade William Nylander, Timothy Liljegren to the Vancouver Canucks for Tyler Toffoli, Tanner Pearson, 1st round pick 2021. Vancouver Canucks get a dynamic top 6 forward in William Nylander t
