How Seattle Kraken Can Turn into a Contender by Draft

The Seattle Kraken had a very productive trade deadline and stockpiled 25 picks for the next two drafts. If they draft correctly with those picks, they could use those picks to become a contender in no time. This is how I would draft for the Seattle Kraken in the next two drafts. At the 2022 draft, Seattle Kraken trade picks 64 to the Nashville Predators for picks 83, 84. The Kraken also trade picks 119, 123 to the Dallas Stars for picks 112, 144. 2022 Draft 3-Juraj Slafkovsky 34-Filip Bystedt 52-Alexander Suzdalev 58-Ryan Greene 66-Tomas Hamara 83-Jack Devine 84-Simon Forsmark 112-Topi Ronni 130-Joshua Niedermayer 144-Tim Almgren 162-Niklas Kokko The Kraken are able to restock their farm system with some high-end talent, who could contribute a few years down the road. How Seattle Kraken can Build a Stanley Cup Contender

The Seattle Kraken is set to join the NHL in the 2021-22 season, so I thought i would be fitting to try and draft the Seattle Kraken from scratch and turn them into a contending team. At the Expansion draft, the Seattle Kraken make a few trades: Seattle Kraken acquires Zach Parise, Connor Dewar, 1st round pick 2021 from the Minnesota Wild for a 2021 4th round pick. The Kraken is willing to take on Zach Parise's contract but it will cost the Wild Connor Dewar and a 1st round pick as well. Seattle Kraken acquires 3rd round pick '21, 3rd rd pick '23 to protect Cizikas, Clutterbuck from being selected by Seattle. This is a no-brainer for the Islanders because Cizikas and Clutterbuck are part of their identity line; they need to keep them at all costs. Seattle Kraken acquires Marc-Eduoard Vlasic, 2022 1st round pick from the San Jose Sharks for 2021 3rd round pick. The Kraken takes on Vlasic's terrible contract at the cost of the Shark's first-round pick in 2022. Seattl...

What if Dallas Stars trade Tyler Seguin

The Dallas Stars had a really good playoff run last season and made it to the Stanley cup finals without Jamie Benn or Tyler Seguin doing that much. If the Stars want to remain a playoff team, they might have trade one of the two because it is clear that they aren't as effective as a duo anymore. Jamie Benn is the Captain of the Dallas Stars and still has plenty of value even if he isn't scoring; Tyler Seguin on the other hand is purely a goal scorer and doesn't do much anything else, so it would make sense to trade Tyler Seguin. Dallas Stars trade Tyler Seguin to the Carolina Hurricanes for Vincent Trocheck, Martin Necas, Nino Niederreiter, 1st round pick 2021. The Hurricanes get Tyler Seguin, a very good scorer, while the Stars get Vincent Trocheck and Nino Niederreiter, two top 6 forwards along with Martin Necas, a talented young forward and a 1st round pick. Dallas also trades Alex Radulov to the New Jersey Devils for Pavel Zacha, Jesper Boqvist, 2nd rd pick 2021.  The...

HOW TO FIX PITTSBURGH PENGUINS

The Pittsburgh Penguins are far from being a contending team now, in fact they would be better off trading everyone except Crosby and going forward with a full rebuild. Two major trades are made by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2020 offseason: Evgeni Malkin is traded to the San Jose Sharks for Tomas Hertl, Ryan Merkley, Ryan Donato, 1st round pick '21. The Sharks get a superstar center in Evgeni Malkin to help propel the Sharks to new heights, while the Penguins get Tomas Hertl, a very good top 6 forward, Ryan Merkley, the Sharks top prospect, Ryan Donato and a 1st round pick. Kris Letang is traded to the Ottawa Senators for Erik Brannstrom, Josh Norris, Drake Batherson, 1st round pick '21. The Senators get an elite puck moving defenseman in Kris Letang, which makes them a legit contender; the Penguins get 3 very good young players in Brannstrom, Norris and Batherson as well as a 1st round pick. With Malkin and Letang gone, the Pittsburgh Penguins finish the 2020-21 season wi...
