Why Chicago Blackhawks should trade Patrick Kane

With the Chicago Blackhawks seemingly in a state of rebuild, I think it makes sense for the Chicago Blackhawks to trade Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews. Here are some trades that would make sense for the two franchise stars. Patrick Kane Trade Destinations: New York Rangers Edmonton Oilers Buffalo Sabres   Patrick Kane Trade 1: NY Rangers get Patrick Kane CHI Blackhawks get Kappo Kakko/Vitaly Kravtsov, Nils Lundkvist, cond. '23 2nd round pick, cond. '25 3rd round pick.  If the Rangers make the second round of the playoffs, 2nd round pick becomes a 1st round pick.  If Patrick Kane re-signs with the Rangers, Chicago gets a 2025 3rd-round pick. This trade benefits both teams and the deal will reunite him alongside his former linemate Artermi Panarin. Patrick Kane Trade 2: EDM get Patrick Kane CHI Blackhawks get Jesse Puljujarvi, Tyson Barrie, 2024 1st round pick. Chicago retains 25% of Patrick Kane's Contract.  This trade is strictly a rental for Edmonton, while for Chi...

What New York Rangers Should do at the Trade Deadline

The New York Rangers are in win-now mode, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see the Rangers be very active at the Trade Deadline. Here are some moves that the New York Rangers should make at the Deadline. Trades: New York Rangers trade Filip Chytil, Vitaly Kravtsov, Nils Lundkvist, 2023 1st round pick to the Vancouver Canucks for JT Miller. If the Rangers make the Conference Finals, the Canucks get an additional 2024 2nd round pick. The acquisition of JT Miller vastly improves the Rangers' top-end talent and overall depth; it also makes the Rangers a legit threat in the Eastern Conference. The Rangers also trade Ryan Strome, Julien Gauthier, Johnny Brodzinski to the Seattle Kraken for Morgan Geekie, Colin Blackwell, Riley Sheahan, 2022 2nd round pick. If Ryan Strome re-signs with Seattle, the Rangers get a future 3rd round pick in 2023 or 2024. This trade helps the Rangers address two issues: Ryan Strome's uncertain with the team and it also helps add more depth for the pla...

How New York Rangers can become Legit Contenders Next Year

The New York Rangers have a great young core, but they don't have enough NHL experience yet. If they make the right trades, they could be a legit contender as soon as next year. This is how the New York Rangers can become a legit contender next year. Before the season, a huge blockbuster trade is made: New York Rangers acquire Jack Eichel from the Buffalo Sabres for Mika Zibanejad, Braden Schneider, 2023 1st round pick. This is a fair trade for both sides because the Rangers get a legit superstar in Jack Eichel; while the Sabres get Mika Zibanejad, who is a UFA next season, Braden Schneider, and a 1st round pick.   The New York Rangers barely squeak into the playoffs in the 2020-21 season and get eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. Before the 2022 draft, two trades are made: New York Rangers trade Ryan Strome, Vitaly Kravtsov to the San Jose Sharks for Timo Meier. This is a great trade for both teams because the Sharks get two great players in Ryan Strome and Vitaly...

How New York Rangers can become a Dynasty

The New Rangers already have some nice pieces in place, but for some reason, they just can seem to put it all together. If they draft correctly and make the right trades, the Rangers have the potential to become a dynasty. At the trade deadline, the New York Rangers make one major trade: New York Rangers trade Pavel Buchnevich, Brendan Smith, Ryan Strome to the San Jose Sharks for Marc Eduord Vlasic, and a 2021 1st round pick. The Sharks retain 1 million of Marc Eduord Vlasic's annual cap hit. The Rangers get a Marc Eduord Vlasic, who has a terrible contract but will also gain a 1st round pick for taking on his contract. The Sharks get Pavel Buchnevich and Ryan Strome, two top 6 forwards, and Brendan Smith, a top 6 defenseman. The New York Rangers miss the playoffs in the 2020-21 season and end up with the 5th pick in the draft. The New York Rangers lose Brendan Lemieux to the Seattle Kraken in the Expansion draft. At the 2021 draft, the New York Rangers trade Jacob Trouba to the...

WHAT IF BUFFALO SABRES TRADE JACK EICHEL

The Jack Eichel trade rumors have been been constantly popping up, so I will look into what would happen if the Buffalo Sabres did indeed trade Jack Eichel. Trading Jack Eichel is the last resort for the Sabres but it would allow them to totally retool their team. Before the 2020 draft, Buffalo Sabres make a few trades: Buffalo Sabres trade Jack Eichel to the New York Rangers for Mika Zibanejad, Chris Kreider, Vitaly Kravtsov, Libor Hajek, 1st round pick 2020. The New York Rangers add a superstar in Jack Eichel to add to pair with either Panarin or Lafreniere; while the Sabres get Mika Zibanejad, a star center in his own right, Chris Kreider, top 6 winger, two prospects in Kravtsov and Hajek and a 1st round pick. The Sabres also trade Rasmus Ristolainen, Casey Mittelstadt to the Toronto Maple Leafs for Ilya Mikheyev, Timothy Liljegren, 2nd round pick 2020. The Maple Leafs need a top 4 defenseman and Ristolainen fills a need at a relatively low cost, Mittelstadt never quite fit with the...

REDRAFTING NEW YORK RANGERS FOR A DECADE (2003-2013)

The New York Rangers struggled to draft during the mid 2000s and into the 2010s, which might be a reason why they never were thought of as a legit contender at the time. If the Rangers had drafted correctly, they might have been able to build a championship caliber team. In this blog, I will be redrafting the New York Rangers for a decade in hopes of turning them into a contending team. 2003: 12-Brent Burns over Hugh Jessiman 50-Corey Crawford over Ivan Baranka 209-Dustin Byfuglien over Dylan Reese 243-Matt Moulson over Jan Marek In the 2003 redraft, the Rangers fare much better than they did originally; they get two star players in Brent Burns and Dustin Byfuglien, they also get a good goalie in Corey Crawford and decent complementary goal scorer in Matt Moulson. 2004: 19-Travis Zajac over Loui Korpikoski 36-Brandon Dubinsky over Darin Olver 48-Alex Goligoski over Dane Byers 73-Alexander Edler over Zdenek Bahensky The Rangers add two very good defenseman in Alex Goligoski and Al...
