How Seattle Kraken Can Turn into a Contender by Draft

The Seattle Kraken had a very productive trade deadline and stockpiled 25 picks for the next two drafts. If they draft correctly with those picks, they could use those picks to become a contender in no time. This is how I would draft for the Seattle Kraken in the next two drafts. At the 2022 draft, Seattle Kraken trade picks 64 to the Nashville Predators for picks 83, 84. The Kraken also trade picks 119, 123 to the Dallas Stars for picks 112, 144. 2022 Draft 3-Juraj Slafkovsky 34-Filip Bystedt 52-Alexander Suzdalev 58-Ryan Greene 66-Tomas Hamara 83-Jack Devine 84-Simon Forsmark 112-Topi Ronni 130-Joshua Niedermayer 144-Tim Almgren 162-Niklas Kokko The Kraken are able to restock their farm system with some high-end talent, who could contribute a few years down the road. Why Seattle Kraken Should be Sellers

The Seattle Kraken has not had a great inaugural season, and has been a great disappointment, so they should definitely consider being sellers at the deadline and concentrate on the future. This is what the Seattle Kraken should do at the Trade Deadline. Trades: Seattle Kraken trade Mark Giordano to the Calgary Flames for Nikita Zadorov, Dillon Dube, and a 2023 2nd round pick. If the Flames make the second round of the playoffs, the 2nd round pick becomes a 1st round pick. This trade makes sense for both teams; Giordano goes back to Calgary, while Seattle gets Nikita Zadorov, a top 6 defenseman, a young, versatile forward in Dillon Dube, and a conditional 2nd pick, which could turn into a 1st. Seattle Kraken also trades Jared McCann, Calle Jarnkrok to the Anaheim Ducks for Sam Steel, Sonny Milano. The Anaheim Ducks are making a push for the playoffs, so Jared McCann and Calle Jarnkrok should help provide some depth scoring for them; on the other side of the trade, the Kraken get a soli...

How Seattle Kraken can Build a Stanley Cup Contender

The Seattle Kraken is set to join the NHL in the 2021-22 season, so I thought i would be fitting to try and draft the Seattle Kraken from scratch and turn them into a contending team. At the Expansion draft, the Seattle Kraken make a few trades: Seattle Kraken acquires Zach Parise, Connor Dewar, 1st round pick 2021 from the Minnesota Wild for a 2021 4th round pick. The Kraken is willing to take on Zach Parise's contract but it will cost the Wild Connor Dewar and a 1st round pick as well. Seattle Kraken acquires 3rd round pick '21, 3rd rd pick '23 to protect Cizikas, Clutterbuck from being selected by Seattle. This is a no-brainer for the Islanders because Cizikas and Clutterbuck are part of their identity line; they need to keep them at all costs. Seattle Kraken acquires Marc-Eduoard Vlasic, 2022 1st round pick from the San Jose Sharks for 2021 3rd round pick. The Kraken takes on Vlasic's terrible contract at the cost of the Shark's first-round pick in 2022. Seattl...
