 The Edmonton Oilers must improve their team at the trade deadline if they are to be a legit contender in the playoffs. This is what the Edmonton Oilers should do at the trade deadline. Trades: Edmonton Oilers acquire Marc-Andre Fleury, Dylan Strome from the Chicago Blackhawks for Mikko Koiskinen, Kailer Yamamoto, Xavier Bourgalt, and a 2023 2nd round pick.  If the Oilers make the Conference Finals, the 2nd round pick become a 1st round pick. Chicago retains 25% of Marc-Andre Fleury's Cap Hit. The Oilers Get a proven veteran goalie in Marc Andre Fleury and Dylan Strome, who could serve as a valuable 3rd line player; on the flip side the Blackhawks get Mikko Koiskinen, Kailer Yamamoto, a young prospect Xavier Bourgalt and a conditional 2nd round pick, which could turn into a 1st.  Chicago Blackhawks have the 3rd worst record in the Western Conference, and most likely will miss the playoffs again, so it would make sense for them to trade away the veteran players at the trade deadline. This is what the Chicago Blackhawks should do at the trade deadline. Trades: Chicago Blackhawks make a three-team trade with the Edmonton Oilers and Arizona Coyotes Chicago Blackhawks get Mikko Koskinen, Alex Galchenyuk, Ryan Dzingel, 2nd round pick '23 (from EDM). Edmonton Oilers get Marc Andre Fleury, 7th round pick '23 (from ARI). Arizona Coyotes get Brett Connolly, Kyle Turris, Devin Shore, 4th round pick '23 (from EDM). This trade helps out all teams involved; the Oilers get Marc-Andre Fleury, he gives them a veteran goalie they have been desperately looking for.  There's are a lot of off the ice controversy surrounding the Chicago Blackhawks, but I wanted to focus on the team on the ice. The 2021-22 Chicago Blackhawks have gotten off to a terrible Start to the season, with a 3-9-2 record; only Arizona has a worse record. This bad start has caused the Blackhawks to fire head coach Jeremy Colliton, and Derek King was named the Interim coach. In this blog, I discuss what is wrong with Chicago Blackhawks and how to fix them. Major Issues w/ Chicago Blackhawks: 1. Offseason acquisitions haven't panned out 2. Defense is flat out bad 3.  After losing to the Montreal Canadiens in the 3rd round of the playoffs, the Vegas Golden Knights have some major decisions to make in the offseason before free agency because they really need to address some weaknesses on the team. Heading into the offseason, the Vegas Golden Knights have a little over 6 million in cap space to spend in free agency, so they will need to make some moves to free up some cap space.  Before the Draft, Vegas need to trade one of their starting goalies . The most logical thing to do is to trade Marc-Andre Fleury because he is the more established goalie and is coming off a Vezina Caliber year. Fleury's value has never been higher and if they don't trade him now, his value could drop off a cliff next year, so it is best to trade him before his play starts to decline.
