 The Detroit Red Wings are having a disappointing season, but they can turn it around in the offseason, and build to be better next season.  These are the moves that I would make if I were GM of the Detroit Red Wings. Before the 2022 Draft, a few trades are made Detroit Red Wings trade Filip Zadina to the Arizona Coyotes for 1st round pick '22 This is a win-win trade for both teams because the Coyotes get a potential top 6 winger, while the Red Wings get Colorado's 1st round pick from this year's draft. Robby Fabbri and Jordan Oesterle are traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs for Ilya Mikheyev and Ilya Lyubushkin. If Neither of these players re-signs with Detroit, they get a 2023 3rd-round pick. Detroit retains 1.5 million of Robby Fabbri's Contract for the duration of it. This is basically a cap dump for the Red Wings, and for the Maple Leafs, they get two players to help the roster for two pending UFAs.  The Dallas Stars are an aging team, and with the injuries to Seguin and Bishop, the Stars should consider rebuilding. The Stars would benefit in the long run if they were to move some of the older veteran players for some picks and prospects. At the trade deadline, the Dallas Stars make a few trades: Dallas Stars trade Ben Bishop to the St.Louis Blues for Jordan Kyrou, and a 2022 2nd round pick.  Ben Bishop is a great goalie when healthy but with Khudobin and Oettinger on board, the Stars no longer need Bishop. The Stars also trade Alex Radulov to the Detroit Red Wings for Vladislav Namestnikov, 2021 2nd round pick (from NYR), and a 2nd round pick (from EDM). The Red Wings acquire a marquee player to bolster their lineup for Vladislav Namestnikov and two 2nd round picks. The Dallas Stars finish the 2020-21 season with the 12th worst record in the league but end up with the 3rd pick in the draft.  The New Jersey Devils will likely be one of the worst teams in the NHL this season, but if they rebuild their team correctly, they could be a Stanley Cup contender. To stack up on more picks and prospects, the Devils should trade away some of their veteran players on expiring contracts. New Jersey Devils trade Kyle Palmieri to the Colorado Avalanche for Andre Burakovsky and a 2021 1st round pick.  Colorado Avalanche adds Kyle Palmieri in hopes of winning the Stanley Cup, while the Devils get Andre Burakovsky and a 1st round pick. The New Jersey Devils also trade Nikita Gusev to the Detroit Red Wings for Tiro Hirose, a 2021 2nd round pick. The Red Wings add Nikita Gusev from the Devils for Tiro Hirose and a 2nd round pick. Travis Zajac is traded to the Florida Panthers for a 2021 2nd round pick.  The Panthers add Travis Zajac, a solid veteran center from the Devils.
