WHAT IF WINNIPEG JETS TRADE PATRIK LAINE

 Patrik Laine has been popping up on rumor mills a lot recently and the Winnipeg Jets haven't turned them down, so lets how the Winnipeg Jets would look like if they trade Patrik Laine and how it affects the team down the road.



Winnipeg Jets trade Patrik Laine to the Philadelphia Flyers for Travis Konecny, Morgan Frost, Shayne Gostisbehere, 1st round pick 2021.

The Flyers get a elite young goal scorer in Patrik Laine, who would look great on a line with Claude Giroux and Sean Couturier; On the flip side, the Jets get a very good top 6 forward in Travis Konecny, solid puck moving defenseman in Shayne Gostisbehere, a prospect in Morgan Frost and a 1st round pick.


Winnipeg Jets sign Cole Perfetti, Daniel Torgersson to Entry Level Contracts.


All other RFAs are re-signed by the Winnipeg Jets.


Winnipeg Jets sign TJ Brodie to a 6 year deal worth 5 million per season, Mattias Janmark to a 3 year deal worth 2.75 million per season.

The Jets add a top 4 defenseman in TJ Brodie as well as a bottom 6 forward in Mattias Janmark; both will be a crucial part of the team.


The Winnipeg Jets lose in the 1st round of the playoffs in the 2020-21 season; they end up with the 17th pick in the draft.

Winnipeg Jets draft two blue chip prospects in Kent Johnson and Carson Lambos and a very good forward prospect in Zack Stringer as well.


Winnipeg Jets sign Kent Johnson, Carson Lambos, Zack Stringer to Entry Level Deals.


Winnipeg Jets re-sign Neal Pionk to a 5 year deal worth 4.75 million per season, Andrew Copp to a 3 year deal worth 2.5 million per season.

All other RFAs are re-signed by the Winnipeg Jets.


Winnipeg Jets sign Brandon Saad to a 6 year deal worth 4.5 million per season.

Brandon Saad gives the Jets a versitaile top 6 winger that plays in all situations and has Stanley cup pedigree.


The Jets also sign Carter Hutton to a 2 year deal worth 2.5 million per season.

Hutton is a solid backup and will allow the Jets to give Hellebuyck so rest to keep him fresh down the stretch.


The Winnipeg Jets make it further in the playoffs in the 2021-22 season but lose in the Conference finals to the Colorado Avalanche; They have the 27th pick in the draft.


Before the 2022 draft, one trade is made:

Winnipeg Jets trade Nikolaj Ehlers to the Calgary Flames for 1st round pick 2022.

The Calgary Flames get another top 6 winger to compliment their top players; on the flip side, the Jets get a 1st round pick and clear 6 million in cap space.


At the 2022 draft, Winnipeg Jets trade picks 12, 27 to the Buffalo Sabres for pick 6.

The Buffalo Sabres draft their future number 1 defenseman in Seamus Casey, who will fit perfectly with Carson Lambos as on the top pair.


Winnipeg Jets sign Seamus Casey to an Entry level Contract.


Winnipeg Jets re-sign Rickard Rakell to a 4 year deal worth 4 million per season, Ville Heinola to a 3 year deal deal worth 3.5 million per season.

The Jets also re-sign Morgan Frost to a 2 yr deal worth 2.5 million per season.

All other RFAs are re-signed by the Winnipeg Jets.


The Winnipeg Jets make it to the Stanley Cup finals in the 2022-23 season but they lose to the New York Rangers in 6 games.


After the season, Winnipeg Jets trade Dylan DeMelo, Jack Roslovic, Andrew Copp to the New Jersey Devils for Pavel Zacha, 2nd round pick 2023.

The New Jersey Devils add a solid 3rd pair defenseman in Dylan Demelo, a good top 9 forward in Jack Roslovic and a versatile top 9 forward in Andrew Copp; On the flip side, the Jets get a solid 3rd line forward in Pavel Zacha, a solid top 9 forward in Joey Anderson and a 3rd round pick.


All RFAs are re-signed by the Winnipeg Jets.


By the 2023-24 Season, the Winnipeg Jets have a tremendous young core that has playoff experience, which makes them an early favorite for the Stanley cup.
