HOW TO FIX ARIZONA COYOTES

After losing Taylor Hall in Free Agency, the Arizona Coyotes did little to nothing to fix the team due to the fact they are stuck with many bad contracts,

so if the Coyotes want to build a legitimate contender, they must first move some salary and dump off some bad contracts.

Arizona Coyotes make a few trades:

Arizona Coyotes trade Alex Goligoski to the Carolina Hurricanes for Haydn Fleury, 2nd rd pick '21.

The Hurricanes get a veteran two way defenseman in Alex Goligoski, while the Coyotes get a young top 6 defenseman in Haydn Fleury and a 2nd round pick.

The Coyotes also trade Derek Stepan to the Ottawa Senators for Chris Tierney, Connor Brown, 2nd rd pick '21.

The Sens get a veteran 2nd line center in Derek Stepan, which will allow their young centers to develop at the right pace. The Coyotes get Chris Tierney, a top 6 center and Connor Brown, a top 9 winger as well as a 2nd round pick.

Darcy Kuemper is traded to the Buffalo Sabres for Linus Ullmark, Tage Thompson, 2nd rd pick '21.

The Sabres get a true number 1 goalie in Darcy Kuemper, while the Coyotes get Linus Ullmark. a solid goalie, Tage Thompson, a forward prospect and a 2nd round pick.

Arizona Coyotes re-sign Chris Tierney, Connor Brown to a 4 yr deal worth 3.5 million per season; Linus Ullmark, Haydn Fleury are re-signed to a 2 yr deal.

The Arizona Coyotes finish the 2020-21 season with the Worst record in the Western Conference

but end up with the 5th pick in the draft.

Arizona Coyotes lose Lawson Crouse in the Expansion draft to the Seattle Kraken.

Before the Draft, one major trade is made:

Arizona Coyotes trade Nick Schmaltz, Niklas Hjalmarsson to the Detroit Red Wings for 2nd rd rd pick '21, 2nd rd pick '21.

This is a cap move for the Coyotes so the Red Wings get two really solid players for two 2nd round picks.

At the 2021 draft, Arizona Coyote trade pick 3 to the New Jersey Devils for picks 5, 47, 2nd rd pick '22.

The Coyotes also trade 49, 50, 55, 59, 2nd rd pick '22 to the Vegas Golden Knights for picks 28, 32.

2021 Draft Results

5-Aatu Raty

28 (from VGK)-Joshua Roy

32 (from VGK)-Sebastian Cossa

58 (from CAR)-Zack Stringer

The Arizona Coyotes draft 3 top prospects in Aatu Raty, Sebastian Cossa, Joshua Roy; they also get a good forward prospect in Zack Stringer.

Arizona Coyotes re-sign Conor Garland to a 6 yr deal worth 4.6 million per season.

The Arizona Coyotes again finish near the bottom of the Standings in the 2021-22 season and end up with the 3rd pick in the draft.

Before the draft, two major trades are made:

Arizona Coyotes trade Phil Kessel, Jakub Chychrun to the Florida Panthers for Grigori Denisenko, Owen Tippett, 1st round pick '22.

The Florida Panthers add a veteran sniper in Phil Kessel and a top 4 defenseman in Jakub Chychrun, while the Coyotes get two top forward prospects in Grigori Denisenko and Owen Tippett and a 1st round pick.

Christian Dvorak is traded to the Anaheim Ducks for Sam Steel, Brayden Tracey, 2nd rd pick '22.

The Anaheim Ducks need to improve their center depth and Christian Dvorak would be a solid 2nd line center for them. On the flip side, Sam Steel would be a terrific 3rd line center for the Coyotes, Brayden Tracey, could be a solid third line winger and Arizona also gets a 2nd round pick.

At the 2022 draft, Arizona Coyotes trade picks 11, 39 to the San Jose Sharks for pick 9

2022 Draft results

3-Matthew Savoie

9-Simon Nemec

The Coyotes draft two blue chip prospects in Matthew Savoie and Simon Nemec, who will both be a big part of their core in the future.

Arizona Coyotes re-sign Barrett Hayton to a 3 yr deal worth 3 million per season.

Ben Chiarot is signed to a 3 yr deal worth 3.25 million per season, Michal Kempny to a 2 yr deal worth 2.5 million per season.

The Arizona Coyotes finished the 2022-23 season with a much better record but still miss the playoffs; they end up with the 12th pick in the draft.

After the draft, one major trade is made:

Arizona Coyotes trade Oliver Ekman Larsson to the Dallas Stars for Thomas Harley, Denis Gurianov, 1st rd pick '23, 1st rd pick '24.

The Dallas Stars add Oliver Ekman Larsson, another top not puck moving defenseman to add to their stacked D core, while the Arizona Coyotes get Thomas Harley, a very good prospect defenseman, Denis Gurianov, a top 6 forward and two first round picks.

2023 Draft results:

12-Arttu Karki

21-Valtteri Lehtosaari

The Coyotes draft two very good prospects in Arttu Karki and Valtteri Lehtosaari; both should be a huge part of team in the future.

By the 2023-24 season, the Arizona Coyotes have built a scary team than looks like it could contend for a stanley cup.

2023-24 Arizona Coyotes:

A.Raty-M.Savoie-B.Hayton

D.Gurianov-J.Roy-C.Garland

G.Denisenko-C.Tierney-O.Tippett

Fantasy Hockey Forwards to Trade For

Here is a list of Players who you should consider trading for in Fantasy Hockey. Tage Thompson Tage Thompson had very high expectations of him heading into this season but has been a massive disappointment to this point in the season with only 7 goals, 8 assists, 4 PPP, 60 SOG, and 99 FW. Thompson has been better after coming back from injury and you would think that he is going to eventually start putting points in bunches. Because of how bad Thompson's statline is this season. it would be a good idea to trade for him because you may not have to give up a lot in return.  Elias Lindholm Elias Lindholm is another player who has had a slow start to the season with only 7 goals, 10 assists, 3 PPP, 68 SOG, and 297 FW so far this season. Lindholm is definitely going to want to play better if he wants to increase his value for his next contract and also showcase himself for a trade at the deadline. If Lindholm gets dealt to a contending team, his fantasy value would drastically improve b

TIPS FOR DECIDING WHO TO KEEP FOR KEEPER/DYNASTY LEAGUES

Keeper fantasy leagues are a variation of traditional fantasy sports leagues where participants are allowed to keep a certain number of players from their previous season's roster onto their team for the upcoming season. The number of players that can be kept, as well as the specific rules regarding keeping players, vary from league to league and are typically determined by the league commissioner or by a set of agreed-upon rules among league members. In a keeper league, the kept players usually come with a cost, such as forfeiting a specific draft pick in the upcoming draft or having to pay a predetermined fee. This adds a strategic element to the game, as managers must decide which players to keep based on their performance, potential, and value relative to the cost of keeping them. Keeper leagues often provide a deeper level of engagement and strategy compared to standard fantasy leagues because managers need to consider long-term player development and roster management beyond

FANTASY HOCKEY WAIVER WIRE PLAYERS TO PICKUP

Here are some players you should pickup in Fantasy Hockey, sorted by position. Center Colton Sissons Colton Sissons is one of the best 4th line centers in the league, but in fantasy hockey, he could be even more valuable than he actually is in real life because of what he provides in the peripheral categories. So far this season Sissions has 5 goals, 1 PPP, 1 SHP, 12 PIM, 20 SOG, 89 FW, 15 hits, and 9 blocks. This is a terrific stat line and although you can't count on Sissons scoring a ton, he will fill out the FW, Hits, and blocks usually. Sissons is owned in 6% of fantasy leagues, snag him up while you can. Nick Bjugstad Nick Bjugstad is having an excellent year so far with the Arizona Coyotes, in fact he has played so well that he earned himself a promotion to play on the 2nd line along with Mattias Maccelli and Lawson Crouse. Bjugstad also gets time on Arizona's 2nd PP unit and 2nd PK unit. Bjugstad may not be a name who stands out to casuals, but his fantasy stat line is
